When Liz and Brandon reached out to me about photographing their beautiful, bohemian Big Sur anniversary portraits, I was so excited! We connected over pugs; they have the cutest pugs! They were coming in for the weekend and wanted to do schedule a last-minute anniversary shoot. Brandon is in the same industry as me, and Liz was as sweet as ever; I knew we’d all be a great fit.

Beautiful Bohemian Vibes

True to their beautiful, bohemian Big Sur anniversary portraits, Liz wanted to wear a long white boho wedding dress. That gave us the perfect spruce of creativity. I loved her Boho and Gatsby look, so Instagram-worthy! We wanted to incorporate the coastline textured backdrops as much as possible. As a local Big Sur photographer, this is a specialty of mine!

Wood & Water Views

They wanted to do two looks: coastline, and forest. Thankfully, Big Sur offers those two scenes fairly close to each other. After we strolled through the forest, we stepped to the grandeur of the California coastline. Liz and Brandon are from Texas originally, so we wanted to get backdrops that weren’t typical to anything you’d find in Texas! Their Bohemian anniversary portraits are one of a kind!

What I appreciated most about these two as a local Big Sur anniversary photographer was their openness to creativity and having fun. We went to a few different locations, I played and experimented with prisms to photograph with, and we just spent our time exploring! It was so wonderful to have a couple that trusts me with capturing their images so natural in front of the camera. The dramatic views of their Bohemian anniversary portraits also are always so beautiful!
