Big Sur lovers-- welcome! I’m so happy you’ve realized Big Sur is an epic place to elope. When I moved to California’s coast ten years ago, I quickly fell in love with my new backyard. I’ve spent thousands of hours climbing over massive rock formations like Pfeiffer Beach, exploring the coastline to literally getting lost in the forest of Garrapata State Park (true story haha). Between personal exploring and hundreds of amazing couples photographed, I’ve ventured through almost every inch of Big Sur has to offer. I can’t wait to share all the tips to having epic elopement photography in Big Sur!
Everything you’ll find here will help craft your perfect Big Sur elopement. Let’s dive in!
I am a Big Sur elopement photographer: film and digital photography. Each medium evokes a variety of emotions. Film makes you take in the moment and think before you click the shutter button, capturing raw emotion and movement from each of my couples. While digital captures every second of your unique wedding day. Both offer artistic shots for your Big Sur elopement photography.
Besides being chronically obsessed with photographing cute couples, you can find me eating some gooey chocolate chip cookies, drinking champagne, reading my favorite books and traveling the world (besides when Miss Corona is out to play ;).
Eloping in Big Sur is a dream. No exaggeration, you can be at some of the oldest redwoods trees in the world to the best of California’s coastlines in minutes. In Big Sur, there’s just about any backdrop you’d want to set the mood for your wedding elopement photography.
I offer multiple elopement packages for your special day leaving you to only worry about showing up! I’ve photographed gorgeous Big Sur elopements at tons of different amazing locations, so you can put your trust in me.

With 90 miles of coastline, Big Sur is the ultimate destination for elopement venues. The vast terrain allows for some of the most unique places to choose from. Quite honestly, the venue options are overwhelming. Before you start sweating over it, take a look at my Big Sur Location Guide. My guide has everything I’ve learned from my sweet couples and personal adventuring to provide you with expert advice on Big Sur.
For Her, keep in mind traveling from location to location. Walking along coastal trails to running in the sand, your heels might not be your best friend for the entire day. Bring alternative shoes! PLEASE layer up. Long sleeves and sunglasses are your new BFFs. It’s much warmer in town than at the beach, so pack accordingly.
To get the money shots, there’s likely not going to be WiFi and cellular data. Download the map and directions to our Big Sur photography shoot locations so you can access them whenever.
A blanket. Staying cozy, cute, and comfortable is essential along the coastline. Waterproof boots and a change of clothes are also great items to bring along when traversing through various terrain.
