About Alexis & David

They met through mutual friends. Alexis was a senior in college and often found herself studying at Francesa’s house. Francesca was living with her now fiancee Max, who has been close with David since they were in elementary school. David spent countless hours hanging out with Max at his house, meaning David and Alexis crossed paths dozens of times.

At first, David was too nervous to talk to Alexis and ask her on a date. And this never changed. After Alexis’ friend Nikki stole her phone and texted David about a possible date, the ball got rolling. But it wasn’t until another one of David’s friends stole his phone in order to schedule a date that David and Alexis finally came to be. In short, Alexis and David’s friends knew they would be a great match, and did everything they had to do to make it happen.

As a Carmel Wedding Photographer, this Carmel Coastal wedding was so fun to shoot. This beautiful venue on the Carmel Coast was breathtaking with such an elegant and classic flair. The view at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands just does not get better than this! All the details were so thoughtful and dreamy. From the florals to the cocktails and desserts, everything was absolutely stunning!

Alexis and David’s ceremony was a real tear jerker. This intimate setting was perfect as these two lovebirds tied the knot. As they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, everyone went into the reception. It was so beautiful to watch as friends and family shared stories and all the smiles and laughs around the room. This black-tie wedding was definitely one for the books!

What do you love most about your partner?

“I can’t pick one thing but high on my list would be his affection and empathy. He takes me as I am, always listens to what is happening in my life no matter how trivial, and he honestly just gets me. He knows when I need support and when I need a little nudge. David is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I know. He is the king of grand gestures, wears his heart on his sleeves, and although sarcastic is always making me laugh/ making me do silly things with him.

The thing I love most about Alexis is her patience, because it ties together the things that make her the perfect life partner for me. Alexis is always there for me no matter what the circumstance, and I can always rely on her to be a steady source of support. Alexis prides herself on listening, learning, and as Ted Lasso says, being “curious, and not judgmental.” I find that Alexis never wavered as the perfect person for me, both during times where things have been easy or difficult. After more than 5 years together, I find that with each day there is more and more evidence that I found my soul mate.”
