Carmel Surprise Engagement Planning

I photographed Reynaldo and Danielle’s Carmel surprise engagement and it was an absolute dream. These two have been together for over five years, making the surprise that much more special. Reynaldo and I worked closely together to plan the perfect surprise engagement for Danielle, and all of our hard work paid off when she said yes! Read on to see more!

Danielle and Reynaldo’s love for one another is easy to see, not only in these photographs but in how they interacted throughout the portrait session. They laughed together, and every time they looked at one another, it brought out the most genuine smiles from both of them. When planning their Carmel surprise engagement, Reynaldo made sure that each piece of the engagement had to be perfect!

How did you two meet?

We met at the gym. We didn’t notice each other at first. I ended up approaching her and we started chatting. Now here we are….

What do you love most about your partner?

There are too many things to list about what I love most about Danielle. I really love her smile, her determination and willingness to give and help others. Whenever she tries to pull a prank on me that she had seen on IG and it doesn’t work, she makes such an upset face and I just start laughing.

How long have you been together?

Over 5 years

When did you know they were THE one?

I knew she was the ONE when I could be myself around her. I can say we bring out the best version of ourselves together. We are willing to meet half way on things we may have disagreement on. We are the perfect balance for each other.

When did you decide you were going to propose?

The thought of proposing has been on my mind for the last year or so but it was important for me to finally meet her parents and have their blessing before moving forward.

Tell us about the ring!

The ring is rose gold with a radiant cut center diamond and pave detailing underneath.
