Big Sur Engagement Photography | Martin & Alexis

This Big Sur engagement photography session was one for the books! I had a blast photographing Martin and Alexis for their special engagement photos. Martin hired me at the beginning of the year for a surprise proposal photoshoot. But after a few reschedules, he decided to propose to Alexis in Greece. That is what I love about engagement sessions. Even if you decide to propose spontaneously and you can’t book a photographer, you are always able to capture you two and the beautiful ring for an engagement session instead. Martin and Alexis planned a trip to Greece before the pandemic and with all the restrictions, they had to postpone. I think it was definitely worth the wait. Big Sur Photographer

This sweet couple has been together for 9 years. Martin waited to propose til after grad school. They were so fun and such a cute couple. This day in Big Sur was perfect. We captured photos everywhere. From the rocks and cliffs on the mountains, to the beautiful moments on the beach walking the shores of the ocean. This session was dreamy. They were playful and ran on the beach together. I also captured Alexis’s stunning rose gold emerald cut diamond ring. It was so stunning. Her dress was perfect and they both looked so amazing together. As a Big Sur photographer, I hope to work with these two lovebirds in the future.

What do you love most about your partner?

She is the most caring person I know but also very tough when she needs to be. Alexis also understands me in a way that know one else does and I can truly be myself around her. She is fun and outgoing and social. She makes me laugh everyday because she has lame comebacks to jokes I make.
