A gal named Judy reached out to me to be her Big Sur family photographer in celebrating her dad’s 80th birthday. They wanted a session with coastline views so I knew Big Sur was going to be the perfect place! The family came over from Oakland for the photos and it was really awesome time together. I love family sessions that focus on the parents/grandparents! Seeing the generations of children and grandchildren altogether is SO special and absolutely worth preserving in film. Read on for more!
Family Session On Film In Big Sur
As a Big Sur family photographer, I photograph groups big and small. And of course, if applicable, your fur babies can be part of the session too! The Yu family was fourteen people total with the grandparents, their kids, and their kids’ kids. We got a whole range of ages here with the adults, young adults, teens, and kiddos! I took them all to the beach for their session and got these windswept beachy shots.
The focus on John and his wife, Louisa, almost made this feel like a little couple portrait session which I thought was just the sweetest! Photographing older couples is such a sentimental thing and so timeless too. Of course, photographing young couples is beautiful too especially when you can look back on your portraits as you age. Seeing the age though is SO beautiful when it comes to photographing older couples like John and Louisa!
