Carmel by the Sea Photographer
As a Carmel by the Sea photographer, it was so fun capturing this day in Anna and Natalie’s life. There is something so special when all the family and friends come together to celebrate a beautiful love story. These two lovebirds were celebrated all day for sure. After the ceremony was the reception and the night was sure lively. The dance floor was open and not a single frown in sight. I am so happy for these two and excited for their future together!
Anna and Natalie’s Story
Anna and Natalie met at a meeting where Natalie worked as the music supervisor. In this meeting, they both bonded over mutual friends, upcoming shows in Los Angeles, and drums. All on Natalie’s boss’s couch. There were immediate sparks and they quickly realized music was their common language. After discreetly getting Anna’s phone number, they began texting and started a ritual of daily “alarm songs” by trading off each morning sending the other a song for their day.
Their technical first date was at Mohawk Bend for what turned out to be a seven hour “dinner” trying to figure out if they were friends or something more. Not surprisingly, it turned out to be both. Thus began a string of marathon “dates” continuously closing down restaurants and bars, talking for hours in parking lots and cars. Their dates still run until closing time and are each other’s permanent plus one and the alarm songs are still going.
What do you love most about your partner?
Natalie: “Anna is unbelievable in so many ways, and in a very literal sense. I had no idea a person like her could exist. I didn’t know to even dream of her. She is so patient and full of grace, yet can be truly silly at the same time, sending us both constantly down a rabbit hole of laughter. She is magnificent and sincerely amazing. That’s as narrowed down as I could get it!”
Anna: “Her heart. Her deep compassion for others, her willingness to jump into some crazy spontaneous roller coaster of ideas and then proceed to make a semblance of a plan to make it possible, her love of nature and being still, her brain that is a musical encyclopedia, her unconditional love (even when I’m spiraling), her smile, her eyes.. she’s my best friend.”
