Capturing Big Sur proposal photography is something I do all the time. But Josh and Jane’s proposal was totally special and a total surprise. Josh and Jane both love to hike and the outdoors, so we knew this trail along the coast in Big Sur was the perfect location for Josh to surprise Jane with a proposal. Jane loves the ocean and had always wanted to visit Big Sur, so Josh made sure to make this one of their last stops on their two-month-long road trip. This day was absolutely beautiful and the weather was just perfect. These two high school sweethearts have been together for over five years and were such a dream to photograph. This Big Sur Proposal was the perfect way to end their road trip, full of happy tears and laughter. We had the beach in Garrapata almost all to ourselves, making such a special and intimate experience for their portrait session. I am so excited for these two lovebirds and their future together.

When did you know they were THE one?

After a year of dating. It wasn’t a single moment, I just knew I really love my time with her and I always wanted to be with her.

How long have you been together?

5 and a half years.

What do you love most about your partner?

I love how full of life my partner is. She is very fun and silly and being that way makes me laugh all the time.
