Friedman Farms sits near Scranton, PA with a rustic red barn that overlooks acres of lush green farmland. Erin and Gerard chose to get married at this beautiful venue, and I was so excited to be a part of their Rustic Friedman Farms wedding! East Coast weddings are special to me since I am from there originally; PA will always have a piece of my heart.

Erin and Gerard are so authentic, loyal, and genuine. I was able to photograph their engagement session, which established our connection for their wedding.

Their Love Story

Erin went to Marywood University in Scranton PA to become a teacher and through a good friend, she met Gerard. They met up a year later at the St. Patty’s Day Parade in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and began to date. Erin is incredibly kind and sweet and Gerard is known for his laughter and his strong smile.

Personal Details

One of the best things about weddings is seeing how the intimate details of the couple’s lives are integrated on their wedding day. To commemorate Erin’s late mother, she displayed her mother’s wedding gown on a mannequin in the other room and we photographed her with it. This was something very special to her and made the ceremony even more emotional.

Gerard is a miracle baby- when he was born he had a small chance of living- and needed a transplant. To honor this, they choose to donate money to a charity instead of providing gift boxes.

The Wedding Day

Everything about the day was beautiful. Both Erin and Gerard are incredibly close to their family, and this made the day more special. So many guests were from Marywood Alumni, so we chose to photograph first on Marywood grounds prior to photographing at Friedman Farms in Scranton PA
