This surprise proposal in Big Sur was so beautiful. Nathan and Lilly had the most special moment on the beautiful coast of Big Sur. Nathan reached out to me after finding my work online. He loved some spots I showcased online and fell in love with this location in Big Sur. We worked together for a few months to plan and make this proposal perfect. Post Ranch Photographer

As a Post Ranch photographer, it was an honor to photograph Nathan and Lilly’s surprise proposal. These two lovebirds stayed at the Post Ranch Inn while in Big Sur. After dinner, they pulled off on the side of the road to see the view and that is when Nathan got on his knee to propose to Lilly. She was surprised and it was truly such a beautiful moment with such a stunning view of the ocean behind them. The coastline was in sight with the mountains surrounding them. After some celebrations, we took a walk to the beach. Here we captured some stunning portraits of these two lovebirds walking and dancing. Such a beautiful day and so happy Nathan picked this spot!

What do you love most about your partner?

I love that we bring out the best in each other. She’s made me a much more confident and caring person. And I get to see a whimsical, hilarious side of her that she only otherwise presents to her sisters. As for laughs, Lilly has an excellent observational sense of humor.

When did you know they were THE one?

Our first trip together was to Big Sur, just a few weeks after meeting each other. I had such a good time with Lilly on that trip, and knew she was the one since then.
