Welcome to one of our newest series of local venue features! The first venue we’re featuring is The Club at Pasadera, formally known as Nicklaus Club. It is a romantic Spanish inspired wedding venue and perhaps Monterey’s best-hidden gem…

The Club at Pasadera: History
The Club at Pasadera, formally known as Nicklaus Club, is an up and coming venue in Monterey, California. Purchased from HNA airlines by a group of investors and members, they re-branded in November 2018.

Vibes: Unbuttoned Luxury
As soon as you enter through the gate, lush green hills surround you as you wind towards the clubhouse. You pass the iconic trickling fountain and the lush landscape of succulent and palms. The Spanish inspired architecture captivates you as you note the vines climbing the walls. You find yourself drawn to the romantic arching entryway and the beautiful wooden doors. Little details catch your eye: Spanish tiles tracing the fireplace, antique books stacked on shelves, and vintage furniture interspersed in the lounge area.
The walls of the building are a photographer’s dream, like painted backdrops made perfectly for brides. There are so many places to envision a bride: the large arching cathedral window and the courtyard with string lights. Even the perfectly manicured golf course that overlooks the Santa Lucia Mountains has a beautiful oak tree.

Bride Report
The Club at Pasadera has a five-bedroom lodge with impeccable lighting. There are two to three options for rooms to get ready in, two different outdoor ceremony sites to choose from, and various reception spaces.
Perhaps the most notable reason to choose The Club at Pasadera, besides the charm of the property, is to get to know Allyson, the Event and Wedding Manager. She is immediately likable, can make you laugh within five minutes, and has years of experience within the industry. Originally from MPCC, with prior experience at Eventscapes and Shadowbrook, she commits to serving her brides in every way possible, from kindly greeting them upon arrival to holding their dress before she walks down the aisle.
The Club at Pasadera also has incredible food from Chef Colin Moody, who used to work at MPCC. He was “once mentored by Roland Henin, the only French-born certified master chef in America, and the inspiration behind some of the most renowned chefs in the world, including Thomas Keller of French Laundry fame (Monterey Herald)”. Known for his recent pop-up dinners, Chef Colin Moody creates dining experiences not easily forgotten.
