This day was full of celebration, laughing, happy tears, and a lot of dancing. It was truly special to be a part of this magical day of love and new beginnings in Katie and Zane’s life. As a Carmel Wedding Photographer, one of my favorites is details. There is something so special about the little things. I love the color pallet they had selected. Keeping it subtle with stunning ivory and white tones and hints of green and copper. The ceremony was decorated in beautiful greenery running throughout the large columns of the chapel which gave the room such a fresh and elegant feel. This location definitely has to be one of my favorites.

It was so beautiful to see these two lovebirds coming together after a long distance relationship of 3,000 miles. Family and friends from opposite sides of the country coming to celebrate and witness this love is truly so magical. The reception was one for the books! All the tables were decorated so exquisitely and the dance floor was a hit. Safe to say the love has no distance!
What do you love most about your partner?
“Zane is a really great communicator, and has been my rock through a pretty crazy year. We are currently doing long distance (he is stationed in Ohio) and even from 3,000 miles away he finds ways to show me that he loves me every day. Not to mention, he is also an amazing cook. Zane loves my smile, and kind words, and the way I try to make the best out of every situation.”
Tell us about the proposal!
“We have been engaged since April and had talked about getting married pretty early on in our relationship. The two of us had shopped for rings, so it wasn’t a big surprise. We took a day trip to Big Sur, and he proposed at Jade Cove. On the beach, we were able to capture a photo with the vintage polaroid camera we brought along.”
