A Vintage Coastal Elegance | Ali and Sam

Couple’s emotional kiss among coastal cypress trees.

Ali and Sam’s celebration at Monterey Peninsula Country Club was a beautiful blend of coastal elegance, heartfelt emotion and timeless California charm. As their MPCC wedding photographer, I had the joy of documenting a day that unfolded with ease, intention and the kind of natural beauty that Pebble Beach is known for. Because their love story began long before this day, it was meaningful to continue their journey after photographing their Austin destination engagement session. If you would like to revisit their Austin destination engagement session, you can view it here!

From the very beginning, the soft coastal light, the gentle ocean air and the warm energy of their families created an atmosphere filled with anticipation and joy. As the day progressed, every moment seemed to flow naturally into the next, which allowed the celebration to feel both effortless and deeply personal.

A Coastal Setting for an MPCC Wedding Photographer

Monterey Peninsula Country Club is one of the most breathtaking venues along the California coast. Not only does it offer sweeping ocean views, but it also features stunning Mediterranean architecture and beautifully maintained gardens. As an MPCC wedding photographer, I am always inspired by the way the sea breeze, the subtle movement of the cypress trees and the warm terracotta tones create a serene backdrop for a wedding day.

Because the environment feels both peaceful and elevated, Ali and Sam were able to relax and fully immerse themselves in each moment. The natural beauty surrounding them enhanced every chapter of the day, and it provided an elegant canvas for their celebration.

Getting Ready at Pebble Beach for Their MPCC Wedding

The morning began along quiet Cormorant Road, where Ali prepared for the day surrounded by her closest family. Soft hydrangeas bloomed just outside the windows, and the gentle Pebble Beach light filled the rooms with warmth. As she slipped into her vintage Maison Sully gown, the anticipation slowly grew. The gown’s delicate details paired beautifully with her Manolo Blahnik heels and heirloom jewelry. Because of these thoughtful choices, every part of her look felt timeless and graceful.

Meanwhile, Sam prepared with his closest friends just a few doors down. The morning felt calm and reflective as he adjusted his custom tuxedo and put on his Omega watch. His vintage green Jaguar convertible waited in the driveway, adding a stylish and personal touch. Consequently, his preparation moments carried a sense of confidence and anticipation that complemented Ali’s gentle morning beautifully.

As their MPCC wedding photographer, I always appreciate the quiet rhythm of these early hours. They reveal a couple’s personality in such an intimate way, and they set the tone for the rest of the celebration.

First Look and Editorial Portraits with Their MPCC Wedding Photographer

Next, Ali and Sam shared their first look beneath the sweeping branches of the coastal cypress trees. When Sam turned around, the emotion in his expression made the moment unforgettable. Because this first look allowed them to breathe, embrace and fully take in the significance of the day, it created a beautiful foundation for the hours that followed.

Afterward, we transitioned into their editorial inspired portraits. The vintage Jaguar played a charming role, bringing a cinematic quality to the entire experience. With the top down and the ocean breeze moving gently around them, Ali and Sam embraced the natural movement of the environment. As a result, the portraits felt both stylish and sincere. Their connection made every moment easy and full of life, which allowed the editorial storytelling to feel completely authentic.

Ceremony at Church in the Forest

Soon after, guests gathered at Church in the Forest, a serene chapel surrounded by wooded pathways and warm natural light. As sunlight filtered through the geometric windows, the entire space took on a peaceful glow. When Ali walked down the aisle with her father, her expression held a blend of joy and emotion. Meanwhile, Sam’s reaction revealed how deeply he loves her.

Once they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the room erupted with applause. It was a moment full of warmth and celebration.

After the ceremony, everyone returned to Monterey Peninsula Country Club for an outdoor cocktail hour. Rose petals floated through the air as guests welcomed Ali and Sam with cheers and laughter. The fresh ocean breeze and the soft afternoon light created an inviting atmosphere that felt both relaxed and celebratory.

Sunset Portraits with Their MPCC Wedding Photographer

Shortly before sunset, we stepped outside for one final portrait session. The sky glowed with soft golden light, wrapping Ali and Sam in warm tones. As they walked hand in hand, laughing and embracing, it became clear how deeply they connect with one another. Because the light was so gentle and the atmosphere so peaceful, these portraits felt both romantic and timeless.
