A Bernardus Lodge & Spa Wedding | Amlan & Cary

As a Carmel Valley wedding photographer, I love photographing a beautiful Bernardus Lodge & Spa wedding! Amlan and Cary’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful and I was honored to be a part of it. These two found me on Instagram and I was so happy that we connected! We had amazing phone calls leading up to their wedding day which really made all the difference in a smooth and stress-free day for the couple. These two told me during these calls that it was important to them that they planned a Monday wedding with only their closest family and friends. They wanted something elegant, beautiful, and intimate. Getting to know Amlan and Cary was such a pleasure and their intimate wedding day was just so beautiful. You’ll want to read on to see more!

Amlan and Cary’s ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Church in Salinas. Honestly, it was so refreshing to go to a full mass ceremony where the priest was delivering everything so beautifully in both English and Spanish so both families could enjoy the ceremony. Amlan and Cary’s vows were simply beautiful as well. After the ceremony, the couple and their handful of wedding guests went to Bernardus Lodge & Spa to have an intimate dinner and reception.

Bernardus is a stunning venue, even if you are planning a more intimate wedding event! The best part: I am located right down the road so I know Bernardus like the back of my hand!! Amlan and Cary held their intimate dinner with family and friends on the top terrace at Bernardus, which is a rare occurrence! I believe the most memorable moment from their reception was Amlan and Cary’s first dance as well as Cary’s dance with her father. It’s one of the things I love most about intimate weddings: the very sweet and truly intimate moments.
