Big Sur Proposal Photoshoot | Carey & April

This Big Sur proposal photoshoot was so incredibly special. Carey and April are the cutest couple and it was a privilege to photograph them. Carey reached out to me while I was traveling on the East coast. We had a conversation about her surprise proposal. She chatted with me about how much April meant to her and loves her and was so excited to propose. They are also expecting a baby in the beginning of next year and she wanted to have a really special time for her and April while they were traveling. Carey’s heart went into all the planning. Big Sur Photographer

As a local Big Sur photographer, it was so fun working with Carey and April. Big Sur is so breathtakingly beautiful and this proposal site was a dream. The views from this point were unreal. Carey proposed to April with the most beautiful ring seated in a bright blue ring box. After some portraits celebrating the big moment, we headed to the beach to capture some portraits of these two lovebirds in the sand. This day was gorgeous. It was warm in the mid-60s with a slight cool breeze. We captured some precious photos along the beach as Carey and April played in the sand. It was so fun watching them run through the water and spin around. To finish off their special day, they cozied up on a blanket along the beach to take it all in. I loved being able to capture a part of Carey and April’s story. I am so beyond excited for them as they welcome their baby in just a few short months.

These portraits on Garrapata Whales Peak were stunning. This is a prefect spot for a proposal. You get all the angels from this location. The ocean is right in view and you also get the beautiful mountains surrounding all around you.
