Carmel By The Sea Proposal

I had the honor of photographing John and Haylee’s Carmel by the Sea proposal. It was a blast capturing their magical moment. The beautiful trees and greenery were extra vibrant from all the rain that weekend. While John and I were planning the details for their proposal, the weather in the Monterey Peninsula was calling for a lot of rain and potentially some flooding. So we decided to capture their moment at Carmel Valley Ranch, a stunning luxury hotel & resort in the Carmel Valley. The resort was kind enough to allow us to capture their proposal on the property and it totally made for such a romantic scene. For more about this Carmel proposal, you will have to keep on reading!

Carmel Proposal Photographer

As a Carmel proposal photographer, I often capture my couples along the coast but due to the weather we had to plan accordingly. But this proposal scene was just a dream. It was romantic and whimsical with the rain drizzling. John popped the question in between two grand trees on site. We captured more portraits in the garden and vines and even got to take a stroll on the bridge. These two are such a beautiful couple and I love their story. They met on a dating app during the pandemic when everything was pretty much on lock down. He knew she was the one during Christmas of 2021 when they were snowed in together and had to cancel their holiday plans. You can tell they are best friends and totally in love. It was such a pleasure to work with John and Haylee because they are so positive and bright. It would be an honor to work with them again in the future!
