There have been so many amazing surprise proposals lately and I am in love with each and every one of them. Tom and Abby’s Carmel-By-The-Sea Surprise Proposal was definitely a memorable one! When I first met Tom, he told me that he met Abby at Wake Forest University in North Carolina while they were both completing their undergraduate studies. He told me that he wanted to propose to Abby in one of her favorite places in the world: Carmel-by-the-Sea. He imagined a proposal along the coastline where they could end their evening on the beach, sipping champagne. So, that’s exactly what we planned and, as you can tell, it was more than perfect!! The cutest thing about this proposal had to be that these two were matching. You have to know they are a good match when they didn’t plan on matching but totally did. Tom had planned this sweet speech for Abby which left her speechless and a bit teary-eyed. By the time he got on his knee, everyone on the beach was erupting in applause and cheers for the newly engaged couple!

We were all blown away by the stunning ring Tom proposed to Abby with. The stunning sapphire engagement ring was a family heirloom passed down through the generations. There is something so special and sentimental about giving your partner a family heirloom. It was something super special!

What do you love most about Abby?

I love how she her constant positive and optimistic attitude. There are no bad days when we spend it together. Abby can’t help but cry whenever she sees a cheesy commercial which always brings a laugh from both of us.

When did you know she was the one?

When we moved in together two years ago. After spending more time together, I knew she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

Tell us about the ring!!

The ring is a blue sapphire as the center stone with diamonds surrounding it. It is a family ring!
