Carmel Surprise Proposal | Jordan & Danielle

Carmel Surprise Proposal | Jordan & Danielle

I had the immense honor of being able to photograph Jordan and Danielle’s Carmel Surprise Proposal down on the beach! These two lovebirds traveled all the way from Los Angeles to make this stunning proposal a reality and it was nothing short of perfect! I had been in contact with Jordan for a while, planning and scouting out the perfect location for him to pop the question to his sweet girlfriend, Danielle. Jordan was determined to make every moment of this proposal special for Danielle and I was honored he chose me to help.

All I am saying is: guys take notes from Jordan! He had this whole trip planned out perfectly! He worked closely with me to plan the day out and even made plans to visit Danielle’s family in Napa following the proposal. Isn’t that the sweetest thing ever? You’re going to want to keep reading to see more of this super sweet Carmel Surprise Proposal!

Jordan and I had planned this proposal to the T. He knew he wanted to propose to Danielle on the beach at sunset which is exactly what we did. The weather couldn’t have been better for this romantic proposal on the beach. It was so warm and the water was calm. There was essentially no one on the beach when he proposed, making it super sweet and intimate for the couple. However, when Jordan got down on one knee and Danielle said yes, we heard applause from afar where locals were standing and cheering for the couple!

As you can probably tell from the pictures, Danielle was blown away! She later told me while we were walking along the beach taking photos that she had been getting her nails done constantly waiting for this to happen! It was so cute watching her admire her new engagement ring throughout the entire session.

What do you love most about Danielle?

It’s so hard to write down the one thing I love most about her as there are so many things. But ultimately, I think she makes me the best version of myself. She loves me deeply for who I am: 100%. Danielle encourages me to just be myself, all the time. She makes me confident in myself and proud of who I am; where in past relationships this was not always the case and I had a lack of self confidence.

She is beautiful, smart, driven, caring, sweet and has the biggest heart in the world. Danielle will always put others before herself. She has an amazing sense of humor and can always find a way to make me laugh. Whether through silly jokes, tiktok/instagram videos or sharp + witty responses to something.

How did you know Danielle was the one?

I don’t think there was a specific moment, it was something that built over time. But shortly after she moved to Los Angeles in May of 2021 I think we both knew.

When did you decide you were going to propose?

For her 30th birthday she wanted to do a trip to Napa. We started to plan this trip as an idea in the summer of 2021. My parents and her parents agreed to meet us there for a weekend to celebrate her 30th. As our relationship continued and I started to think about it, I thought what a great opportunity it might be to propose since our families are both going to be there for the weekend and it would be great cover.

We already were planning to drive up the coast and to spend a night together as “our night” before meeting the family, it all fit perfectly. It would be incredibly difficult to plan a time for her parents to be in California or somewhere else we would be without her knowing, so masking this trip as cover has kept the surprise really well. So the idea circulated in my head and I officially asked her parents for their blessing on November 23rd 2021 right before Thanksgiving.
