It was such a pleasure working with Lyndsey and Matt as their destination wedding photographer on their special day at Catta Verdera Country Club in March. This wedding was an intimate gathering in a gorgeous setting bringing these two and Lyndsey’s son Macray together as one family.

How We Met

I met Lyndsey at a bridal show (she was the last person I met that day) and we had an instant connection. When I shot Lyndsey and Matt’s engagement session in San Francisco, California at the Crissy Field, I knew after that session that our time together during their wedding was going to be just as awesome. These are simply two amazing people!

As their destination wedding photographer, I loved being able to capture the special relationship this family has. Lyndsey made “wedding welcome baskets” for both Matt and Macray to enjoy while they were getting ready together. Macray is an amazing young man and you could tell how much he looked up to Matt and how everyone was just excited that they were all going to be one family now! Super special moments to witness and capture as a destination wedding photographer.

Catta Verdera Country Club: the Ambiance of the Day

Lyndsey is a creative who works in fashion and creates jewelry! The wedding had so many awesome details that she and her friend Kelsey put together. My personal favorite was the table settings that included rosemary, personal olive oil bottles, and a baguette! Who doesn’t like bread?!

There was a 70% chance of rain throughout the day, and even though the ceremony eventually had to be pushed indoors, the clouds pulled back enough at the right time for us to do the first look and some portraits outside. The reception was a killer location for a destination wedding! Stunning architecture and rolling hills in the backdrop. Lyndsey is an awesome dancer and she and Matt and all their friends danced the night away!

After We Say Goodbye

Afterward, Lyndsey and Matt headed back to their hotel, The Thunder Valley Casino, for a little after-wedding gambling that I may or may not have joined in on. I can’t wait to work with them again!

An Update

This Catta Verdera Country Club wedding was one of my first here in California. It was one for the books and Lyndsey to this day sends me a Christmas card! Thank you so much for having me as your destination wedding photographer and cherishing your images!
