Kristen and Mike’s timeless Tehama Golf Club Wedding was filled with elegant details and natural light. Their love for each other enriched every moment of their wedding day, and they centered their wedding experience on their family. Here are some details of their story and the day…

A Modern Love Story

Kristen and Mike lived a few blocks away from each other in San Francisco and met through mutual friends. Ironically, they were both on dating apps and should have showed up on each other’s feeds, but Kristen set her height preference for 6 ft., where Mike was just one inch shy. This became a running joke for them: Mike was once inch shy of meeting his soulmate.

I had the honor of shooting their engagement session prior to their wedding. There was so much family history in the building they lived in, so to preserve that memory we began our engagement shoot there. San Francisco’s thick fog hung near the bridge, but that gave them an opportunity to bundle up and cuddle, highlighting the reality of SF’s weather.

The couple decided to tie the knot in Carmel, just a couple of hours south of San Francisco. They chose Tehama Golf Club, which is a beautiful golf course with trees and plenty of natural light. Their reception was indoor with natural stone walls and fairy lights overhead. There were so many elegant details that enhanced the space. Their day was timeless, elegant and so much fun, with stunning florals from Gavita Flora in Santa Cruz, a simple, yet beautiful, cake from Yasukochi’s Sweet Stop and The 415’s rockin’ everyone on the dance floor.

Wedding Vibes

Kristen and Mike chose to not have a wedding party, but instead have their siblings nearby in that place. Mike’s sisters sang a song during the ceremony, many people teared up at their first dance, and friends and family traveled internationally to witness the joyous celebration. Mike and Kristen were a joy to photograph, and their day was nothing short of perfection.
