I used to babysit three adorable boys in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and I would have never guessed that I’d be chosen to be their mother’s destination wedding photographer at the Old Sugar Mill in Sacramento. Jenn and Ryan planned a beautiful wedding that incorporated unique family vows, personalized details, and a day full of family, laughter, and love.

Getting Ready

There were so many beautiful details that Jenn and Ryan incorporated into their wedding. Ryan had personalized handwritten cuff links that said, “I love you so hard,” which is something they would tell each other often. Jenn included Ryan’s mother’s fur jacket for her evening wear. They each wrote their own vows to bring to the ceremony as well! Let us just say it was a real tear-jerker for this destination wedding photographer.

First Look

Did you scroll too fast? Did you see that laughter? I give you permission to take another look! Jenn and Ryan’s first look was one for the books. Family and friends gathered around trying to watch the first look to get a sneak peek! They both broke out into tears and laughter when they saw each other. Their love is so abundant and it overflows. It was one of the longest first looks I have ever photographed as a destination wedding photographer, but it was so sweet and tender! The sun flattered them as they held each other in the light. Beautiful!

Family Portraits

Jenn and Ryan knew each other for a long time before they became a couple! They each have three kids so their families coming together made one big family. Their family portraits are so unique because they all have immediate chemistry and get along so well. These photographs express the joy of the day as well as their happiness to become one family.

There could not have been a more heartwarming wedding at the Old Sugar Mill in Sacramento! Jenn and Ryan’s wedding is so memorable and close to my heart. I was thrilled to be their destination wedding photographer and capture their sweet, sweet love.
