Steph and Kyla were the first couple I met when I originally moved from the East Coast to here are a local Monterey photographer. I didn’t know anyone in the area. Meeting both of them was such a breath of fresh air! We initially planned a specific project, but when that didn’t work out we decided to do a sunset Monterey anniversary shoot to celebrate their anniversary. Steph and Kyla are so sweet, and I am so happy I was able to meet them!

We took their pictures in Monterey and Carmel. We loved doing the portraits in the sand and taking detailed shots of their rings. They both are so natural with each other. We focused on them as a couple as they laughed, smiled, and enjoyed each other’s company. There’s a sweet love present in every image.

After their anniversary session, Steph and Kyla continued to be generous with their kindness. They both began recommending me to all of their family and friends! Because they had a poor experience with their wedding photos, they would always recommend professional photography to friends. “It’s so important!” they’d say, and they continued to recommend me to people they knew. It was such an honor to be their anniversary photographer!

Since their Monterey anniversary shoot, I have had the gift of being able to photograph this lovely couple on four different occasions. There’s something so special about capturing all of their life’s biggest milestones. They are the gift that continues giving. Congratulations on your first baby, sweet friends!
