When one of my associate photographers, Kristin, captured Annie and Patrick’s Monterey wedding at The Perry House, she could really see their personalities unfold in front of her. Annie and Patrick flew all the way from Massachusetts to have their Monterey wedding at The Perry House. It was so awesome seeing Kristin’s captures for their special day with their friends and family. The Perry House was everything they wanted in a venue and offered everything that they could ever ask for. The main highlight was that its location let them celebrate with all their beloved wedding guests! Annie and Patrick wanted a beautiful and intimate wedding location and they found their dream-come-true venue in downtown Monterey!
The three of them meshed really well together. They were all smiles, SO down-to-Earth, and laid back. A no-fuss wedding day! I loved seeing all the beautiful details from the cake by Layers, to name tags for the tables, the rings, and more! Read on for this Monterey wedding at The Perry House by one of AGS’ associate photographers, Kristin!
Getting Ready At The Portola Hotel & Spa
The getting ready process really lends itself to all sorts of pretty pictures of your bridal details. They could be your shoes, rings, hair accessories, clutches, and of course, your dress! Anything you want preserved in a photograph for years to come. The vibe in the room was so lighthearted and fun with Annie and her girlfriends smiling and laughing together! In fact, one of my favorite parts of the day was when one of Annie’s girls brought her takeout sushi, which was “Classic Annie” according to her because she loves her sushi. There’s nothing like your go-to favorite food on the day of your wedding!
Annie got her hair and makeup done at The Portola Hotel & Spa, which is walking distance from The Perry House. As a local Monterey wedding photographer, I’ve had lots of brides start their day just like this! Both the Portola Hotel & Spa and The Perry House are also a short walk from Fisherman’s Wharf, a big favorite for tourists and locals alike for all things shopping, dining, and even whale-watching! After getting ready, Annie and her bridal squad arrived at The Perry House for some final touches. The giant vintage mirror made for SUCH a perfect hanging spot for her gorgeous BHLDN dress!
The Perry House In Monterey, Wedding Photography
Annie and Patrick did a private first look on the property, and their ceremony was short and sweet. Their cocktail hour was extended so they could spend plenty of quality time with their beloved family and friends. The flowers for this Monterey wedding at The Perry House by Carmel Floral Designs were BEAUTIFUL and so organic and wild and lush. Although this wedding shoot was relatively brief, it was such a joy for Kristin to photograph Annie and Patrick and their guests.
