Ashlyn and Ernesto had a 14 guest elopement at a private residence in Tehama, California. Tehama is a gated community in Carmel Valley with lush green trees and custom houses. The home that they eloped in was like an Italian mansion. It was stunning! The house has neutral colored stones and tall narrow wooden windows, perfect backdrops for photography.
Tehama is also my absolute favorite Carmel Valley wedding venue as a local Carmel photographer! The scenery and landscape are as beautiful as the couples I photograph. Seeing lovely people in lovely places- it’s one of the many joys of being a local Carmel wedding photographer.
Both outdoor enthusiasts, Ashlyn and Ernesto wanted to have a ceremony outdoors. They chose an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. Ashlyn and Ernesto wrote their own vows and spoke them to each other. After they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., friends and family threw lavender in the air to mark the celebration!
After the ceremony, we drove to Garrapata to take portraits in Big Sur. The sun was shining as we took pictures on the cliffs, and the waves crashed on the shore below. It was so breathtaking, I loved how the sun touched Ashlyn’s veil as a local Big Sur wedding photographer
Elopements are so special to me as a wedding photographer to photograph because of their intimate setting. I am so grateful to all of my elopement couples for choosing me to capture their beautiful day! Each one is unique and carefully curated to the couple; they tend to be minimal yet touching. They are so sweet to me and always make me tear up!
Are you considering eloping or do you know someone that is? I’d love to be a part of it as your local Carmel wedding photographer. Feel free to reach out here!
