Jack and Marykate’s surprise proposal in Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach was such a sweet day! In fact, it was photographed by my associate, Kristin. She’s been on our team for four years! We’ve been getting more and more special occasions with Spanish Bay/Pebble Beach as the location and we couldn’t be more thrilled. After all, isn’t it just STUNNING? Read on for all the smiles!

What Do You Love Most About Your Partner?

“Marykate’s secretly goofy. She doesn’t show it to many people, and presents an extremely level-headed face to the world, but really, she’s secretly a goofball. As far as our love languages go, I like to touch her a lot- which sounds kinda creepy typed out like that- but gently touching her shoulder when I’m walking by, giving a little kiss when we walk past each other, stuff like that.” – Jack

How Did You Know They Were The One?

“There’s no real single moment to point to when I think about how I knew Marykate was The One. I simply never have considered the possibility of life without her. We first met in college through being in the same freshmen dorm and met on day three- been together ever since! It’s been about five-and-a-half years now with our anniversary on October 1st. I’ll be honest, mid-pandemic I decided that, while I wasn’t ready at the time, a good mark to reevaluate would be when the aquarium opened because I planned on proposing to her there. When the aquarium announced it was opening back up, it was all I could think about. At that point, I knew it was the right choice.” – Jack

“We will be spending the day together, first going to the aquarium then dinner. Then, we’ll head to the beach to ‘watch the sunset’ and that’s when I will propose. It should be a massive surprise. She thinks that we’re still waiting until everything is a little more settled down, and we are more ready… little does she know haha!” – Jack

Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach Surprise Proposal

The idea of proposing at an aquarium is so cute! I always believe in picking locations that are special to you and your partner to make even more new memories like entering into engaged life. Jack and Marykate both love Spanish Bay and Pebble Beach, and although there’s no specific reason that makes it special to them, this is as wonderful an occasion as any to make it a memorable place for them!

The proof is in the smiles with how sweet these two are as a couple! Their surprise proposal in Spanish Bay had such beautiful water elements thanks to the area. There’s such a pretty cool-toned look to the location that really adds to the photos, which I just love! Especially the yellow flower bushes! Being a Pebble Beach photographer means never running out of reasons to love this place!
