When Andrea and Zach reached out to me with the idea to do a casual at-home engagement shoot, I was over the moon to do it! It’s so refreshing to see couples in their own homes and created spaces. I loved capturing these two as they were counting down the days to their wedding. It was a perfect opportunity to throw in a little bit of a lifestyle shoot as well! At-home engagement shoots might just be my new favorite thing as an engagement photographer!

Andrea is an interior designer with SUCH a cute style. Zach is a chef, which explains his love for food. Both of them have a laid back personality. When I asked them why they chose to do an at home engagement shoot, they said, “I just want to capture what we love doing most.”

What they love doing most is drinking wine and making food together in the kitchen. “We cook at home together every night!” they told me. We decided to capture them in the kitchen making pizza from scratch, which is something they love doing themselves on Friday nights. I loved this so much! Being their engagement photographer was such a privilege!

One of the most precious moments was when their first dance song played and they began dancing together in the kitchen. It was so sweet to see a preview of what their wedding day would be like! Their love was evident with every step in this at-home engagement shoot.

Photographing these two in their living room as they sat and ate was truly such a joy! It’s so nice when couples feel at home. There is no nervousness being photographed since they’re in a safe space. I love doing these at home engagement shoots!
