One of the upcoming trends for 2020 is bridal portraits. You may see sneak peeks of it now… Couples choosing to do bridal portraits before or after the wedding inside a photographer’s studio. Some are even choosing to have on-site portraits done with extensive backdrops! I would love for all my AGS brides to see the beauty in bridal portraits. We’re so excited about this movement because it offers an elevated experience in editorial bridal photography.
These are an opportunity for brides to create editorial images that will last a lifetime. They’re ideal for the brides that want to showcase every aspect of their wedding gown. We have the time to take details of the intricate details of the dress itself! The controlled lighting, allocated time, and opportunity for creativity are so beneficial for this work.
On the wedding day, a bride is ushered through each step. Similarly, photographers are expected to create both the editorial look as well as capture candid moments. Indoor bridal photography gives both the photographer and bride the opportunity to collaborate on an editorial look that will last a lifetime.
Bridal portraits are a genuine passion of mine. I love editorial photography, so bringing my brides in to experience a more fine art style is such a joy! We also love using this time to bring in details that they maybe couldn’t use traditionally in their own weddings. Headpieces, bridal capes, etc; all of them are welcome here! Nothing is off-limits!
Do you have an interest in bridal portraits? They’re something I want to offer brides as part of their packages. Does that sound up your alley? I have the perfect studio for it in Monterey, California! Please contact me here.
