Kaela and Chase are Texas sweethearts who came out to California’s beautiful Pebble Beach for their engagement session. It was such a joy to be their local Monterey photographer and capture their love story on the coast of Pebble Beach as well as in Del Monte Forest!

Meet Kaela & Chase

“Chase doesn’t know this but I told my best friend when I was 20 I knew I would marry him. We were not dating or anything at the time. My junior year of college we started talking more and the moment I graduated we started dating. We have been inseparable ever since!” – Kaela

Kaela found me through the vendor’s list for Pebble Beach and we hit it off right away. Her passion and vision for the day really inspired and enamored me. Not just for the engagement session, but for her and Chase’s wedding day too! Until that special date in May of 2021 though, we have their gorgeous engagement photos to commemorate the start of a new chapter in their lives together!

I was delighted to be able to meet up with Kaela and her mom, Christina, a few days beforehand. They got ready for the day together at The Hair & Makeup Company. It’s so heartwarming to see the parents’ support in the love story!

Pebble Beach Traditions Run Deep

Pebble Beach was the perfect location for photographing their engagement session. It’s a sweet and special place in Kaela’s heart because her dad is from here and attended Stevenson School. Both Kaela and Chase are very family-oriented in preserving these family traditions in their future wedding.

We wanted to highlight the gorgeous California coastline in their photos to get their guests excited for the special day. Particularly on the sceneic 17-Mile Drive that Pebble Beach is famous for, we got these really beautiful shots full of sunshine, smiling faces, a stunning sunset, and champagne (courtesy of Christina)! Start counting the days towards the wedding!

Del Monte Greens & Pebble Beach Blues

Our second location, Del Monte Forest, also made a great spot for gorgeous engagement photos. Chasing the sunlight filtering in through the trees really added to the romance of the day. Kaela’s green dress with Chase’s striped button-up is the most charming combo ever! I love their white gown, blue suit combo just as much too, it really sings classical and elegant!

Save The Date

It was my pleasure as a local Monterey photographer to capture Kaela and Chase’s beautiful Pebble Beach engagement session! Among the many things I cherish in my relationships with my couples is staying in contact and being involved not only in their engagement but their wedding too!

I’m so excited to photograph Kaela and Chase again at their wedding. Especially with Kaela’s savvy plans for the day, which entail getting ready at the elegant Bernardus Lodge and Spa, holding the ceremony at the Church in the Forest at Stevenson School, and ending with the reception at Pebble Beach Lodge. It’ll be one for the ages!
