Nazeli contacted me through Instagram for hers and David’s Big Sur anniversary session. These two have been together since 2009! That’s over TEN years! They met in school when they were around twelve/thirteen, then re-met in the workplace. Nazeli and David stayed at Post Ranch Inn for their Big Sur anniversary session. The area is one of their favorite places in California! Read on for this romantic and classic shoot!

A Weekend Away

Nazeli and David’s session was meant to be a weekend without the kids. A weekend all to themselves! It was so sweet but they actually ended up missing their kids anyway! The two of them are so playful, fun, and adventurous with each other. When they’re together, the rest comes naturally. Nazeli and David have a great dynamic with each other. They really build each other up while still keeping each other grounded. That sort of chemistry makes my job as a local Big Sur photographer that much easier!

Anniversary Session In Big Sur

Nazeli’s outfits for the portraits are why I always recommend planning an outfit change in your session as a local Big Sur photographer! You can never go wrong with black and white. Even little changes like David’s black to blue jeans can really refresh a shoot! I loved photographing them all along on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. We explored all over the rocks and trails, then ended on the sand. One of my favorite portraits from Nazeli and David’s Big Sur anniversary session was when she made a heart with her hands over his chest. It really was SUCH a romantic and classic shoot!
