Why Big Sur For Your Engagement?

“My mom is from California and moved back there when I moved to college. I grew up my entire life in Raleigh, North Carolina, so it was difficult at first for me that my mom moved across the country. But in college, I met Kelly and we fell in love. I brought her out to visit my mom in Paso Robles. We have visited every single year since, and one of the first places my mom made sure to show us was Big Sur. It holds a special place in her heart and we’ve adopted that sentiment ourselves. It’s the most beautiful place we’ve ever been to. Everything from the sights to the smells to the general aura you feel just being there.” – Will

How Did You Know They Were The One?

“During college, we were inseparable and ‘the discussion’ took place plenty of times. It was likely during my final year. I think the true moment of clarity where I fully realized we’d be spending our lives together was when we adopted a dog together. I saw how motherly she was and that amount of love we shared for our dog was indescribable.” – Will

When Did You Know You Wanted To Propose?

“We’re both twenty-seven and have been planning for roughly around this age for quite a while to get married. The exact date and everything lines up with a trip we’re making to visit my mom. Big Sur is special to us because we visit once a year when we see my mom, so it works out nicely! I knew I absolutely wanted to have our special moment there. It’s going to be a huge surprise for Kelly. I imagine she may cry a little bit but she’ll definitely be super excited.” – Will

What Do You Love Most About Your Partner?

“I love everything about Kelly. We share the same sense of humor and desire for adventure. We both love trying new things and seeing new places. I love that she loves music and is willing to be adventurous when listening to new artists. She does a ton of stuff that makes me laugh. Sometimes when I get home from an errand or something, she’ll hide from me then pop out and scare the hell out of me. Pretty much ever since we met, we’ve been together. It’s been about seven years ago.” – Will
