Cole and Nicole’s Carmel by the Sea engagement session was SUCH a great experience to photograph! We shot an hour-and-a-half or so before sunset, and there was just a little bit of wind in the area that day too. It made for these awesome wind-in-your-hair moments with dramatic ocean waves to boot! As a local Carmel by the Sea photographer, I think windy days can really add a ton of movement and flair to a session.

“Nicole is the most caring loving generous person. Not only is she absolutely beautiful and tough, but she’s goofy and playful at the same time too. We love to explore and talk each others ears off every day. I knew from the first time that we hung out that she was the one. We’ve been together for a little over three years now so I’ve known for a while that I wanted to propose but I only started planning about six months ago. Carmel and Mission Ranch specifically is our favorite place together so I know I want to take her to beach for walk before dinner and propose on the sand.” – Cole

Okay but I LOVE that their names are Cole and Nicole. Is it just me? These two are so madly in love, their Carmel by the Sea engagement session practically shot itself! I didn’t need to give any directions to either of them with all their twirls, cuddles, and kisses. They were really just enjoying their time together and as a local Carmel by the Sea photographer, that’s the KEY to any session. Not that a little picnic on the beach doesn’t help! Isn’t this simple setup the sweetest?

Their styles were really cohesive with Cole’s dark denim jacket and Nicole’s black leather jacket- all the coolest vibes! I’m especially fond of this shot of Cole and Nicole’s silhouettes sitting on a log with the sun setting. It was the perfect way to cap off their Carmel by the Sea engagement session.
