San Francisco City Hall Elopement | Lana & Caitlyn

Photographed the DREAMIEST San Francisco City Hall elopement and I couldn’t be more honored to have been Lana and Caitlyn’s SF wedding photographer! Everything from Lana’s Toni Maticevski gown to Caitlyn’s BHLDN suit– plus pizza and champagne! Yes, these two lovely ladies ate pizza and drank Moet champagne on the steps of their San Francisco City Hall elopement. Name a more perfect day. I’ll wait. Read on for all of Lana and Caitlyn’s San Francisco City Hall elopement day magic!

Eloping At The San Francisco City Hall

Lana and Caitlyn contacted me a few months ago saying that they were getting married in Northern California but they wanted to elope at the San Francisco City Hall. Lana was actually the one who found me through a friend, and said friend found me through a Green Wedding Shoes article that we got published in. Looking back, it totally fits the luxurious and modern vibe that these two had going on.

I totally felt like Lana, Caitlyn, and I became best friends and it was amazing getting to photograph their San Francisco City Hall elopement! I’ve been wanting to photograph at San Francisco City Hall for YEARS- it’s been on my bucket list since forever!

Tattoos & Getting Ready Together

The San Francisco City Hall elopement day actually started in a tattoo parlor where Lana and Caitlyn got each other’s initials inked on their arms, which I thought was the sweetest thing! Then, they got ready together at San Francisco Proper. This place is so quirky and cool, and has so many art pieces. Perfect for this San Francisco City Hall elopement (it has locations in downtown L.A., Santa Monica, and Austin, Texas too)!

It was just Lana and Caitlyn getting ready together, which was so sweet and intimate, right down to both of them saying, “the ole ball and chain will be right by my side from this day forward” when I asked how their getting ready time would flow. They’re just hilarious and the coolest people!

After they got ready, I got to photograph them with their friends, shoot their ceremony, and then we adventured all around the building and combed it from top to bottom. I loved every second of it- the steps, the big windows, everything! It was easily the best three hours spent having such a blast inside and the images came out so stunning!

San Francisco Elopement Photographer

The rings for this same sex elopement were absolutely gorgeous and really unique to Lana and Caitlyn. Not only were they custom made but the bands are from a small jeweler in Ljubljana, Slovenia where Lana’s parents got their bands from! How amazing is that?

Thinking of eloping at San Francisco City Hall? It’s such a beautiful venue for any and every love story and couple and I’d jump at the chance to photograph there again! Contact me here, let’s make it happen!
