I captured the Morton family’s photoshoot at Carmel by the Sea and it was such a fun time! Beach sessions are some of my favorites for all the textures of the water, sand, and greenery. There were so many dreamy shades of blue at this session. I love seeing a gradient of color when it comes to clothing- whether it’s bridesmaid dresses or flowers in a bouquet- and of course, lots of people means lots of outfits! Everyone had their own shade and hue of blue and I loved that the baby boys were the ones who were especially matching.

Babies are so fun to photograph- unpredictable though they may be! That’s part of the fun after all. Family sessions like this Carmel By The Sea family photoshoot are treasures that age so well with each new generation. Preserving something as fleeting as babyhood and even childhood is so precious to me. When you look back on them, you get a feeling of nostalgia wash over you!

Film Family Session

Film family sessions are especially dreamy to me because of the nature of film itself. It just adds such a timeless and romantic look to the photos! Especially for a Carmel By The Sea family photoshoot, film adds so much richness to the beach and the sand. And of course, playing with babies at the beach is as perfect a subject as any for capturing on film!
