Carmel Surprise Propsal | Ramon & Sophia
I photographed one of the sweetest surprise proposals at Carmel State Beach! Ramon contacted me early on in his planning to help him craft the perfect proposal for Sophia. He wanted every moment to be memorable! Ramon chose to propose at Carmel State Beach where he and Sophia spent their first anniversary together. Ultimately, the proposal was perfect. Sophia was shocked by it! She was so happy, she even got down on her knees with him to say yes! The best part is that Sophia’s family was there to witness all the joy! A very sweet touch to this proposal is that Sophia’s parents were able to witness it! Her mother’s reaction to the ring is one for the books too! Also, did I mention they brought along their super cute puppy!? I may be a little biased, but I was a huge fan of the pup that they brought along. As a doodle puppy owner, I was in love with these sweet portraits of Ramon and Sophia with their dog! Isn’t he just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!? He’s quite the little model too!
Tell us how you know she was the one!
I did not know until well into our relationship, probably years into it. For me, it is more of a thought out, calculated decision. It takes time for me to see and believe that someone is the one. There are many experiences that get us to that point, I do not think it is one single event but rather the cumulative effect of years of spending time together and seeing that we are compatible and happy with one another.
When did you decide you were going to propose?
Probably a few months ago when I realized financially I could afford a ring we would both like and be proud of. In addition, we were beginning to plan for the marriage ceremony. I also spoke to her family and made sure to have their support. It has been a long time coming but just felt right, especially in terms of where I am financially.
Tell us about the ring!!!
It is a round circle ring with a halo, the band is pave with small diamonds as well. I love it and spent a lot of time finding and choosing the perfect ring that I would be happy and proud to give to someone so special in my life.
