COVID-19 Updates From AGS Photo Art: What Happens Now?

ags-photo-art-carmel-valley-covid19-personal-blog

Wow- it feels like the world has changed overnight with COVID-19. We had a couple of things scheduled for the blog this month, but I wanted to take the time to pause and take a deep breath to acknowledge it and respond to it.

How are you? How are your parts of the world? It’s been a crazy few weeks before this began! I was in Sacramento for a wedding, had pretty mean cold, then flew straight to San Diego for a conference. COVID-19 started to shake things up while I was visiting and as soon I got back to Monterey Jonathan and I moved! Yay! I didn’t even have time to think about what could possibly develop from this. I had no time to prepare like most of us I’m sure. And yes I am out of toilet paper HA!

What I’ve Been Seeing…

What I’ve been noticing the last few weeks about COVID-19 is how many small businesses are in fear of losing everything. Some businesses are selling everything to keep afloat or have become completely invisible. I’m hoping and praying for my friends in small businesses to get through this. We have no end in sight. I myself have had to cut tons of costs and unfortunately have lost out on partners and future work. It’s a scary time for us small business owners. I am trying to do what I can for them by offering collaborations, discounts of future sessions, branding work – anything I can do from home I will! I’ve opened up my mentoring sessions again and trying to purchase (what I can afford) from other small businesses to show my love.

For my clients and couples of 2020, my thoughts are with you as things have been changing SO QUICKLY and it feels like the rug has been ripped out from under you. I can’t imagine how you feel having to reschedule, postpone or even cancel some events. As most of you know by now I will do as much as I can to help you through it.

I Have Fears Too.

To be real for a minute I have fears too – I fear for my health. I already have a lower immune system as most of you know and I try my hardest to stay healthy. I fear for my family who are almost 3,000 miles away and over the age of 50. I fear for my small business and the amount of work I’ve lost so far this year… I fear for my partner Jonathan who thinks he’s superman and can’t get ill…. *silly boys. So much has changed so quickly and it reminds me how important it is to keep in good mental health and to get outside for fresh air.

Even though I’m fearful of somethings I want you to know is that I am confident that AGS Photo Art is not going anywhere. I’m struggling with adapting to the self-quarantine, and my small business is struggling now more than ever before, but I want you to know: I’ll be here. I’ll be here when this all comes to pass, and until then, I’ll be thinking of creative new ways to adjust and connect with you. I’ll continue to post, keep active and working hard on my business while I have this time alone. My couples are my first priority and I’m trying to make sure that they’re well taken care of. If you need someone to talk to, hey I’m here for that too.

Here’s How You Can Help.

How you can help – It would mean so much if you could continue to refer my business to your friends, family and other businesses near and far. If you could share a picture you love from my page on Instagram. If you know of a business who needs products photographed (I can do that from my home studio) I can do that. Need branding? Have products? Want to get some gift cards for holidays and birthdays? I offer that too! I know photography is not at the forefront of everyone’s minds, but my small business greatly appreciates your love and support now more than ever.

Above all of this craziness with COVID-19, know that I’m here for you.

Love,

Amandarose
