Alejandra and Kenneth’s Monterey intimate wedding at Monterey Tides Hotel was the first of many sessions in what’s been the busiest wedding boom here at AGS! June 17 is a special date for the two of them. Their wedding party consists of six people, including themselves, and the total number of guests (also including themselves!) is seventeen. Since COVID put their plans on pause last year, it was so great to have everything come full circle for them on Aley and Kenny’s Monterey intimate wedding day after having been together for ten years.

A ten-year anniversary celebration AND a wedding. What could be better? For one thing, getting to work with the amazing Pocketful Of Plans to make magic happen- that’s always a treat in my book! I was honored to be Aley and Kenny’s Monterey wedding photographer for the day. Read on for more!

How Did You Two Meet?
“We met in high school when I was fifteen and he was seventeen. We knew of each other through a mutual friend and eventually, Ken worked up the courage to introduce himself. A few months later, we went on our first date. Ever since we were in high school, we would talk about ‘if we get married we should get married on a beach!”. Then, we found a spot that’s quiet and not a super public beach. The rest is history!” – Aley

Monterey Intimate Wedding First Look
You can tell how in love with each other Aley and Kenny still are, even after ten years. It made their Monterey intimate wedding that much sweeter! They’re both such kind and beautiful people. Their four-year-old son, Kenny (named after his dad!), was their ring bearer for the day. He was also the only one who got a Monterey wedding photographer First Look with his momma. So sweet! I loved his toy camera and curly hair, plus, what’s more childlike than sand on the tuxedo? Kids and wedding attire are always so fun!

It was awesome getting to capture these all these beautiful beachy portraits. That’s part of the beauty of an intimate wedding! After the ceremony, I took the bride and groom to the beach for their solo photoshoot. The elegant and classic feel of their pictures really paired well with Aley’s ring. I loved the pear shape, simple with the perfect amount of bling! Their beach portraits were the cherry on top to the day! Not to mention, with the help of an awesome team of vendors, Aley and Kenny got the Monterey intimate wedding that they deserve. Worth the wait!
