Ryan and Jenna’s Post Ranch Inn surprise proposal was SUCH a fun morning adventure session in Big Sur. A top favorite for sure as a local Big Sur photographer! Jenna had a PRICELESS reaction when Ryan got down on one knee, and once she noticed I was there too! She was all, “Are you here for us?!” and I was like, “No, I’m here for the next couple!” 😉

These two have been together for a few years and have gone through a lot together. Jenna means the world to Ryan and Ryan means the world to Jenna. They even have the same birthdays! Post Ranch Inn

How Did You Know They Were The One?

“From the moment I met Jenna, I knew she was special. We met at Fort Mason park in SF at a friend of a friends birthday party. I love most how deeply she cares for others (including me). Her laugh/snort is contagious 🙂 After spending time living with her over the past year, it solidified just how happy I am with her in my life. We love hiking, traveling, skiing, watching the sunset, going on walks, and just being active together in general (surfing, soccer, running, etc.). I decided I wanted to propose sometime ago in late spring (March/April) and started looking for a ring. Now, here we are!” – Ryan

Ryan’s master plan for his Post Ranch Inn surprise proposal was to arrive with Jenna at a pull off spot, walk down a trail, and propose with an epic background. There’s nothing like a cliffside trail that has the coastline and ocean in the background. The platinum ring he picked out for her is GORGEOUS! I love the platinum band and tapered baguettes, and that EMERALD! He knew this would definitely be really emotional for her so I wanted to give them some distance after the proposal so the two of them could soak in all of the sentiments in the moment.
