I just knew photographing Jordan and Adam’s powerful and heartfelt anniversary session was going to be a joy to do! I was happy to gift it to them! When I first met Jordan, it was through the spinning class that she instructed. Needless to say, it quickly became my favorite way to exercise, and of course, Jordan is a top-notch instructor too! I love that we have so much in common. We’re always on the same wavelength! I photographed her at CycleBar on commission for business branding as a local Carmel photographer. Then, she asked me to shoot her and her husband, Adam’s, anniversary! They are such darlings!

The Behind The Scenes Love Story

Part of this powerful and heartfelt anniversary session also includes spreading awareness and promoting positivity for people like Jordan who has an ostomy, also known as a stoma. In case you don’t know, a stoma is an artificial opening made into a hollow organ on the surface of the body after an operation like a colostomy, ileostomy, or gastrostomy. It’s plain as day in the photos that women like Jordan are strong and beautiful inside and out. Just like I seek to spread awareness and promote positivity towards ocular melanoma, I’m delighted to stand with her in solidarity with this. Adam is truly her biggest supporter. He’s always on her side and cheering her on! Their love and teamwork truly make the dream work!

Anniversary Session Destination: Carmel Beach

As a local Carmel Valley photographer, I felt right at home in many of Carmel Valley’s pretty little parks with Jordan and Adam. At the end of the day, we topped everything off at Carmel Beach. We were followed all over the place by this gorgeous foggy lighting that really came alive in their photos. Capturing this special day and their happy faces are my heart and soul’s work. To celebrate their powerful and heartfelt anniversary session, we popped a bottle of Taittinger champagne- Jordan and Adam’s favorite!

Being able to come alongside her health story made me rediscover how much I truly love what I do. It’s a gift and privilege to serve my couples. Not only do I document their love stories, but their life stories too!

Jordan, you are one of the loveliest ladies I know. There is no stopping you and your positive spirit, and I’m so happy I was able to photograph you and Adam!
