Marianna and Michael’s private engagement session in Big Sur was one for the books! Without getting TOO ahead of myself, it made me all the more excited for their wedding at Holman Ranch– especially as a Holman Ranch wedding photographer!

The Proposal

Big Sur Engagement Session

Marianne and Michael did their private engagement session in Big Sur at Marianne’s family’s private land. It’s an absolutely stunning place and was definitely the perfect place for this chapter of their love story! This is why I believe it’s SO important for couples to let me know if they have a special place or location they want their session at. Especially if it’s one that I don’t know about or is unique to them that I wouldn’t be able to photograph otherwise! It’s always a welcome surprise when couples introduce ME to a new place.

Future Wedding At Holman Ranch

I saw new mountains and places in Big Sur thanks to Marianne and Michael. The two of us got to adventure up to the mountain and Little Sur River, and see ancient redwoods and clovers in an untouched land. It was nothing but beautiful epic redwood views and mountains and fields overlooking Big Sur- and Marianne’s ring was gorgeous! It was this round Tiffany’s solitaire with a rose gold band! Like Marianne, I’m over the moon for rose gold and its rising popularity.

Last but not least, the most heartwarming part of the session was having Marianne’s mom tag along for Marianne and Michael’s private engagement session in Big Sur. We all shared champagne to celebrate this exciting special occasion as we look forward to their future wedding at Holman Ranch! I’m counting the days until I get to be their Holman Ranch wedding photographer!
