Private Wedding Photographer: Intimate At-Home Wedding In Hollister

Sara and Austin’s private estate wedding actually took place at Sara’s mother’s home. It was a gorgeous setup for the day, SO beautiful for this gathering. Words can’t describe what an honor it is for me as an intimate wedding photographer when couples invite me into their space. Having Sara’s mother open her home to me made capturing Sara and Austin’s special day all the more heartening!

The bride and groom got ready in separate rooms, keeping their reveals a surprise until they walked down the aisle. I loved getting to photograph candid family moments like Sara with her mom, sister, and grandma helping her into the dress. These are a classic staple! Capturing the bride and groom’s wedding day details make all the pretty things that much more memorable. The back patio was a darling space for their reception, ceremony, and of course, lots of dancing!

Intimate Wedding Photography At Private Estate Wedding In Hollister

Sara and Austin have been together for nearly ten years now. Their love story actually began in a library- actually, it began even before the two of them met! It started with their moms, who met in that very same library and became friends. Isn’t that such a sweet serendipity? It was beyond moving hearing the story of their friendship, especially because Austin’s mother is no longer with us. He left a purple rose on her chair to commemorate her during the wedding, and you could really feel this special, familial love in the air. Sara’s mother toasted to her too- it really stirred up these deep and heartfelt emotions.

Sara and her dad’s father-daughter dance was an emotional moment too! One that was so sweet to capture. They didn’t think they’d end up crying, but it just made everything all the more sentimental- no shame in tears! That’s the beauty of photographing these intimate and private weddings. You really get to know your couple and their loved ones, and really FEEL what they feel.
