What Do You Love Most About Your Partner?

“One of the many things that I love about Jessica is that she’s so supportive of my goals and dreams. She was supportive of me getting mental help when I was really struggling… really, there are many things that I love about my partner- I can’t just pick one thing! But I picked this location because Jessica made it a tradition to take her daughter, Katherine, to this pumpkin patch every year. She loves going to this one because they always have a pumpkin that has Katherine’s name on it. I knew this was something I wanted to do from the very beginning. It just feels right! It was just a feeling I got every time I look at her. When I look at Jessica, I see us creating a life together and always being there for one another.” – Melissa

Bochard Farms Surprise Proposal

It’s so touching to me that Melissa fine-tuned her surprise proposal at Bochard Farms to include her daughter-in-law, Katherine! In fact, I learned that Bochard Farms always has a “Katherine” pumpkin because the current owner, Tom Borchard’s wife is also named Katherine! They have really fun looking animal attractions, corn mazes, a ghost town, and even a haunted barn! I love seeing otherwise separate stories unknowingly intertwine with others. Bochard Farms was so kind in letting us photograph this amazing day. They even made a special pumpkin with “will you marry me, Jessica?” etched into it. It was absolutely darling! I love photographing precious details like these!

Bochard Farms’ Lovely Details

These two have been together for nine months and counting. They both work as literacy tutors that help students that struggle with reading, phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency. It goes to show that this surprise proposal at the pumpkin patch is as sweet as Melissa and Jessica! The ring is a stunning bridal set with a black diamond. You can really tell Melissa did her research when it came to making sure everything about her surprise proposal at Bochard Farms was tailored to Jessica and Katherine- warms my heart!
