If you haven’t already seen Morgan and Bill’s Carmel Beach engagement, here it is now, but otherwise, we’re continuing their love story today with their beautiful, black-tie intimate wedding at the ultra-exclusive Tehama Golf Club! Their special day was an absolute joy, full of getting ready portraits as well as portraits on the Tehama grounds. It’s no wonder why Tehama is my favorite venue here in Carmel as a local Carmel wedding photographer. The location just adds such an elegant and classic flair to every occasion!

Black Tie Wedding: Roarin’ 20’s Inspiration

Like many couples this year, Morgan and Bill had to rethink their original wedding plans in light of COVID-19. At first, this intimate occasion was going to be a big, grand one- but while its size had to go down, the overall romance of the day remained in high spirits. If anything, despite these setbacks, Morgan happily reported that she got everything she dreamed of- from her Suzanne Neville wedding gown to the flowers by Fiona Floral and the table capes. Their exclusive, black-tie modern classic theme reminded me so much of the Roarin’ 20’s, don’t you think?

The Flower Girl At The Black Tie Wedding

Who could forget Morgan and Bill’s darling Olive? This little cutie pie was their flower girl for their special day with her adorable flower dress, collar, and leash. Morgan and Bill even had French-bulldog-inspired details on the wedding cuffs! She was there for her mommy and daddy’s First Look in front of Tehama and it was so sweet to capture! I am forever an advocate of the First Look for moments like these.

Love Is In The Details

I love photographing details like the ones I mentioned above. From Bill’s leather shoes by Paul Smith to the wedding vows he and Morgan wrote into love letters for each other, it really is the little things that make the big day that much more special. Of course, Morgan’s BHLDN shoes were also darling! I was especially enamored by the custom-designed wedding ring the two of them picked out, plus all of Morgan’s jewelry by Roberto Coin really emulate timeless craftsmanship.

The Wedding Day’s Events

It was a smooth, warm, and clear day at Morgan and Bill’s wedding- mountains as far as the eye could see! With Pocketful of Plan’s impeccable coordination, everything ran perfectly. After the First Look, Morgan and Bill took a stroll through the tree grove and golf course- two of my favorite spots at Tehama! Then, they had their ceremony which was so heartfelt and intimate, followed by a private dinner with a champagne tower and their first dance. Their first dance was truly so special because it was just between the two of them. It was truly an honor to have a place in their special day.
