Zsigmond and Ashley’s Santa Barbara engagement session reminded me of my favorite thing about being a destination photographer. I love getting to meet my couples where they’re at and photographing in places outside of my local area! Film photography engagement sessions especially are such a delight for me. Being a Santa Barbara engagement session photographer for the day was a real treat! Read on for this darling love story!
What Do You Love Most About Your Partner?
“Ashley is the most loving, selfless, strong, and most beautiful woman alive. She brings out the best in me, constantly pushing me to be the best that I can. We met through our church youth group way back in 2013. She and I would constantly see each other at these church events and I am forever thankful to God that I met Ashley and how far we have come together. May 30, 2017 was when we officially started dating, and ever since we met, there has always been a spark for her. She and I have been through a lot of trials with her health but thank God with that behind us, we have seen how much closer it has brought us and truly showed me how strong of a Godly woman she is. Not to mention, Ashley is absolutely amazing with kids and that shows through her love for them. She truly is the most amazing woman alive. I can hardly wait to spend the rest of my life with her. Her beauty inside and out is priceless. There is no one else I want by my side forever.” – Zsigmond
Engagement Session, Change Of Plans: Santa Barbara Bound!
Zsigmond originally booked me to shoot his proposal to Ashley in Ventana. That’s one of my favorite venues as a local Big Sur photographer! Unfortunately, we had to rethink the plan due to COVID. He’s from Orange County while Ashley is from Ohio, and they’ve been dating for four years now. Needless to say, making things work long-distance is an ordeal- especially when it comes to planning special occasions like this! But in the end, Zsigmond reached out to me again and this time, we decided to meet halfway in Santa Barbara. I absolutely loved getting to scout out locations there! After capturing Zsigmond and Ashley’s Santa Barbara engagement session, I definitely want to go back!
Santa Barbara Courthouse Engagement Session: All The Details!
The three of us met up at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I’ve been wanting to do sessions there for YEARS and would be SO delighted to shoot there again. Definitely a keeper in my destination photographer book! The details were so stunning, from the Spanish-Colonial style to the elegant arches, and gorgeous gardens. It was such a perfect venue for Zsigmond and Ashley’s Santa Barbara engagement session.
Butterfly Beach Sunset Engagement Portraits
After a quick outfit change, we made our way around town and settled in Butterfly Beach. Aren’t these sunset portraits gorgeous? Ashley’s beautiful blush dress and its floral patterns only added even more lovely details to the earlier part of the day. Of course, I love the beachy look on her and Zsigmond just as much! You can really see just how head over heels they are for each other. I think film photography really captures that romantic vibe.
Santa Barbara has been calling my name ever since Zsigmond and Ashley’s engagement session there! As a destination photographer, I’m always willing to go where my couples want to go! So if you’re looking for a Santa Barbara engagement session photographer, I’d love to be your gal! Contact me here. Let’s make it happen!
