As a Carmel engagement photographer, it was an honor to capture Amanda and Cory’s engagement photos. I had such a blast with these two lovebirds. They have been together for six years and met through Tinder. Cory proposed to Amanda at his family’s home in Pacific Grove. This home holds a lot of memories for them both and it was super nostalgic and special. Corey proposed after dinner with just them two and their sweet pup. It was so special to capture Amanda and Corey for their engagement photoshoot. I am beyond excited to also be capturing their wedding day in the summer of 2023. I always enjoy doing an engagement shoot before the wedding because it is always beautiful being a part of the whole journey and I love having more time to connect before the wedding date. This engagement photoshoot was stunning. We captured portraits along the beach with them in front of the ocean and sitting on the sand. And we headed over to the forest to capture some stunning images of them surrounded by the trees. I had a blast working with these two and excited for their wedding next year!

What do you love most about your partner? 

We love to feature some questionnaire q&a’s that our couples fill out before their shoot date. Here is an answer taken from Amanda and Cory’s questionnaire:

“There are a lot of things, it’s so hard to choose! First, he’s always seen us as true equal partners. I’ve never felt like one of us gives less effort than the other, and he is wildly supportive in all that I do. He’s also like my “center.” I’m very emotional, passionate, extroverted and he’s very even-keeled & laid back. I think he’s brought out the best in me and made me feel really grounded across all areas of my life just by being my partner. Last thing is his sense of humor. I think you know you’ve found the right person when you just genuinely love their sense of humor and laugh at every joke they make. That was a big indicator to me early on that our connection was special.” – Amanda

“I love that she laughs at (most if not) all of my corny jokes. She constantly supports me in everything I do. I feel safe around her and can be my weird self around her.” – Cory
