Carmel Mission Wedding

This Carmel Mission wedding was an absolute dream. It was an honor to photograph Caitlin and Miguel during their special day. Every detail this day was so stunning. From the invitations and flower arrangements, to the cake and reception this wedding was so beautiful. Caitlin and Miguel were married in a stunning Cathedral amongst their closest family and friends. The ceremony was intimate and a real tear jerker. Caitlin’s walk down the aisle was a beautiful moment with her father as he escorted her down to the altar. Her expression in the moment says it all and so happy I was able to capture it. Carmel Wedding Photographer

As a Carmel wedding photographer, I had a blast photographing these two lovebirds. Their story is so sweet. They met through OkCupid and started messaging and having long phone calls. Eventually they decided to meet in person for the first time and hit it off right away. Miguel brought Caitlin a rose that night that she still has for safe keeping. They couldn’t stop talking and the rest is history.

Miguel and Caitlin’s proposal was super sentimental. Caitlin is super close with Miguel’s parents and loves how they eat lunch at the cove they live by every Sunday after church. Miguel and Caitlin started doing the same thing and it became a tradition. They would grab Starbucks on their walk and eat at a specific rock formation near the cove. Miguel decided to propose there. This spot holds a lot of memories for these two and it’s so beautiful to mark it as their proposal spot too.

After these two tied their vows, we took some beautiful portraits of the newlywed couple with their wedding party and family. It was a stunning day and we had a lot of fun. The reception was so beautiful and lively. Caitlin and Miguel shared their first dance on the dance floor which got the party started. The guests were so fun and danced all night. Their reception was gorgeous. From the cake to the decorations, everything was classic and elegant.

What do you love most about your partner? 

Caitlin: Miguel is hardworking, patient, humble, and kind. I can always depend on Miguel to hold me accountable to my goals and help me reach them. He is my best friend and teammate.

Miguel: I love Caitlin’s form of being beautiful inside and out. Her blend of kindness, sweetness, cuteness, and silliness works perfectly well with me. She is also very compassionate, sensitive, and strong which are all qualities I love and respect.
