Pebble Beach Private Elopement On The Cliffs | Monica & Ray

As a local Pebble Beach wedding photographer, it goes without saying that I love Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach- so when Monica and Ray told me they wanted to have a Pebble Beach private elopement, I knew it was going to be a delight! This wedding was so romantic and classical with the Spanish architecture of the venue and the terracotta details. Keep reading for this wonderful love story of Monica and Ray’s elopement on the cliffs of Big Sur!

Rethinking For A Private Elopment

Like many COVID Couples, Monica and Ray had to rethink their wedding plans. Originally, their wedding was going to be in Italy! Unfortunately, we can’t be in Italy at the moment. But we CAN bring that Old World beauty and charm into the special day at Spanish Bay for this Pebble Beach private elopement!

In fact, Spanish Bay is also where Ray proposed! Monica was SO shocked that she fell to her knees next to Ray in the middle of the proposal- and then forgot to say yes. How precious! It’s no wonder that they love the area. These two have stayed at The Inn at Spanish Bay many times and Monica’s favorite restaurant is there too! The best venues for your special occasion are ones with sentimental value. I love getting a glimpse of your story in these places like The Inn at Spanish Bay and Pebble Beach.

Their photos strolling through the mission have such a timeless nature to them, and I loved that Monica and Ray were more than willing to explore the area. Taking pictures in lots of different places is always one of the most fun things for me and my clients. There’s nothing like discovering hidden gems and capturing them on film! The classic spots, of course, would be the boardwalk. I’m also fond of the cypress trees for the woodsy, nature element!

Topping Off With A Picnic in Big Sur

A private elopement on the cliffs of Big Sur is already romantic in and of itself, but Monica and Ray’s intimate picnic on the beach was the cherry on top. Ten years of loving each other really shone through the photographs. Not to mention, the solitaire ring with a diamond band was simply gorgeous!

Going into this lovely day, Monica expressed that she was most looking forward to saying their vows and the big “I do”, while Ray was excited to see his beautiful bride in her gown. I love hearing what keeps my couples looking forward to their wedding!

Photographing Monica and Ray’s elopement on the cliffs of Big Sur was a joy for me as a local Pebble Beach elopement photographer. I feel for all my COVID Couples who have had to go back to the drawing board with their wedding plans. Don’t fret, friends! All is not lost. Your special day will still be full of love and life and laughter!
