I met Quincy through one of my best friends in Monterey. She is also a private event planner that I worked with at Carmel Valley Ranch. So when Quincy and Dan approached me for their beautiful Santa Barbara wedding, I couldn’t resist!

Dan is from Napa originally and he met Quincy in Santa Barbara. They met when they both went to Santa Barbara for college. They were friends for years, then reconnected in 2014 before dating long distance for a year while Dan lived in Philadelphia!

Couple Story

Dan and Quincy were walking on campus at UCSB one day when Dan chose to propose! Quincy said yes and they couldn’t wait to get married as the next chapter of their lives unfolded. Now we’ve reached their lovely Santa Barbara wedding!

They both enjoy traveling. When they aren’t relaxing watching TV shows with Bella (their cat) in San Francisco, they’re doing weekend trips all over the state!

I drove from Carmel Valley to Santa Barbara for the weekend even though it was my personal anniversary (my boyfriend came along!). When I saw the Chase Palm Park venue in Santa Barbara, I was so excited! Only a handful of weddings have been photographed there, and it is beautiful. It is in the downtown area, a gorgeous venue, and can easily be customized.

The entire vibe and decor of the wedding was something that Quincy planned for years. She’s the kind of person that knew exactly what kind of wedding she wanted to have. They created this beautiful Santa Barbara wedding with a black, white, and green color scheme. Originally we were going to go to the beach for sunset portraits, but instead, we decided to capture both of them in the streets of Santa Barbara. I loved how it all turned out!

Summary

Quincy and Dan had this awesome casual laid back vibe that showed in their wedding. Santa Barbara is such an incredible city to photograph in. I am so grateful that I was able to be a part of this!
