It was an honor as a local Carmel Valley photographer to be able to capture the Santa Lucia Preserve car show, which was a private event for the residents. It took place at the Hacienda, which overlooks golden rolling hills and lush green trees. The beauty of the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel Valley is unparalleled to the rest of the region. The Santa Lucia Preserve is over 20,000 acres of untouched land and boasts an exclusive community.

The infamous Pebble Beach Concours D’elegance typically showcases specific brands. Instead of following this tradition, Santa Lucia Preserve’s car show instead showcased the community’s private cars. There were vintage fire trucks, Bentley’s, and Mustangs. There were also newer cars that made my jaw drop and even a Light Sport Aircraft! The cars themselves were plenty noteworthy, but the overall family vibe of this event was the best part. It was a joy to photograph it all!

There were wine stations, elegant appetizers, and plenty of food to eat. Parents brought their kids and everyone was able to mingle and play. The sun shined, people entered the raffle, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful day. It’s environments like these that I love capturing, especially right here in Carmel Valley where I’m a local photographer.

Lastly, I loved the opportunity to photograph the annual Santa Lucia Preserve Car Show as their local Carmel Valley photographer! Santa Lucia Preserve offers incredible perks to their community (including being an exclusive wedding venue!), and I am so glad I was able to be there!
