He’s a deputy sheriff and she’s a vegan food blogger- what a neat combo! Chancy booked me to photograph his Treebones Big Sur surprise proposal to Alexa not long before a big mudslide had occurred. These kinds of things are part of the area that locals have to adapt to! The drive down and back up Highway 1 was a bit of a roundabout but I was happy to do it! Not to mention the 46 going through Cambria – THE PRETTIEST VIEWS I HAVE EVER SEEN! Getting to photograph Chancy and Alexa’s Treebones Big Sur surprise proposal was all worth the drive!

Treebones Resort is a special place for Chancy and Alexa. The two of them always go there to celebrate their anniversary. They’ve always loved the area and Chancy knew it was the perfect location for his Treebones Big Sur surprise proposal to Alexa!
Treebones Big Sur Before Sunset
This session began a few hours before sunset. Of course, I made sure to include some stunning shots because what’s a Big Sur session without the sunset? Aren’t those muted oranges and purples gorgeous? Treebones is tucked away on the cliffside. The resort has these beautiful organic gardens and yurts! It really added this glamorous woodsy vibe to their photos!
I love when my couples do the Adventure Collection. Where we get to pop bottles of champagne and cuddle up with warm blankets! It’s heartwarming to see these two enjoy each other’s company on one of the swinging benches under a tree!
Isn’t Alexa just the cutest? Her sweet outfit with the little blue flowers on her dress with white sneakers, totally my jam! Plus Chancy’s super adorable outfit and with his tattoos peeking out from his dress shirt! Elements like that really make a session as unique as the couple! Not to mention, the marquise ring from The True Gem is beautiful too!

Hello, My partner Jonathan and I are getting engaged on Wed 6/22 at Treebones Resort in the evening (sometime before our 7 PM dinner reservation at the lodge). We are wondering if you would be available for an engagement photo shoot. We know it is short notice so if you have other recommendations that’d be great.
Also I saw that you have done a photoshoot at Treebones before. Do you know the process for getting approved to have a professional photographer come to Treebones?
We will also be in Carmel Valley Thur 6/23-Sat 6/25 so if you have availability then that would also work.
